If you’re wondering where to stay in Siargao for a quieter, more authentic escape, Santa Fe is a gem. Away from the busy bars and bustling streets of General Luna, this part of the island moves at a slower pace. Bombora is set back into the jungle, giving you the feeling of total seclusion, yet it’s only 100 steps from the beach. You can be out the door and on the sand in minutes, surfboard under arm.
And when you’re ready for a night out or a taste of Siargao’s buzzing food scene, General Luna is just a quick 20-minute drive away. The best part? The drive itself feels like a journey through paradise—winding past endless palm-lined roads and across the famous Siargao sunset bridge, where the sky blazes in color as the day winds down.

The Villas

Head north and you’ll find the famous Magpupungko Rock Pools, a natural tidal playground that’s a must on any Siargao itinerary. A little closer to home is my favorite beach on the island (I won’t spoil the name here—just follow the sound of the waves and you’ll find it).
General Luna, with its lively cafés, restaurants, and nightlife, is only 20 minutes away by scooter or car. Drive 30 minutes in the other direction and you’ll hit the Maasin River and Coconut Viewpoint, two of the most photographed spots in Siargao. For adventurers looking to hop off-island, Dapa Harbor is also just 30 minutes away—your gateway to Bucas Grande and its hidden lagoons and caves.
